BioI'm cheerful, cranky, cantankerous, and keep cats. I hike, hack, have a house. I lift loads, press pounds, drag dumbbells. I am absolutely acognizant of alliteration, and okay, I made up "acognizant". But hey, it looks like a word.
OK, since there's been some confusion: I'm a 40-something male, single, and live by myself (but with cats).

I'm older than the most of you, and younger than a few,Oh yes, the name Silaren: I made it up, in part from Tolkien's Elvish ("sila" => shine, as in starlight: elen síla lúmenn omentielvo; the last word is also rendered "omentielmo"). I wanted a name that was likely to be unique. It has worked out pretty well. There is just one drawback: I am told "Silaren" means "the heroin addict" in Finnish. Oops.
Just east of me a mountain looms, it's really quite a view.
I've been to lands both far and near and heard of many things;
My poem's meter is okay but this line does not rhyme.
